GODFREY LIONEL RAMPLING

Served 28 years in the Royal Artillery retiring as Colonel.

After serving for many years Godfrey was finally posted in 1948 to 94 HAA Battery in Gibralter to become Battery Commander. He served there from 31st March to 25th August before being posted to GSO 1(L) HQ Fighter Command.
Another important posting was to Malta, where he became
Chief Instructor Gunnery from - 2nd June 1943 to 31st December 1944.
